If you have quests in your quest log which are grey, get rid of them. You won't be given any experience for completing them. When you’re still playing a low level character, you have to collect all the loot you can. This means that anything that drops from the monsters you kill can be sold. It might only mean a few coppers at these levels, but they will add up eventually.

If you auction off these basic loot items on the Auction House, you can often sell them for more than you could get by selling them to a vendor in a town or city. If the Auction House won’t take them, sell these items to any vendor.

Professions and Skills

When playing World of Warcraft, you have the option of giving your characters a set of professions and skills that can help you gain strength, increase health and many other benefits. Most players seem to think that you need to look for skills that work together. They’ll advise that if you choose to mine then you need to take blacksmithing also in order to make gold. Or perhaps they’ll suggest that herbalism goes with alchemy to save you from buying materials to create your potions.

The game creators' intention is for players to try and match the skills together, but the reality is that choosing gold-making skills can make you very rich in-game with more gold than you know what to do with.

If you choose skinning and mining then you will be able to profit from selling skins of the monsters you kill as well as selling any ore that you mine. You can sell as much of these base materials as you need on the Auction House to players who don’t want to do these things.

Auction House

When you send your character to visit the Auction House, you’ll quickly notice that the new players always undercut everyone else’s price so they can offer the lowest prices. They believe this will make them more sales.

Smart players know that buying these under-priced items and then immediately putting them back up on the Auction House at their real prices is a brilliant way to make easy profits without doing any hard work.

These basic ideas for gold-making are just the beginning. If you’re serious about playing World of Warcraft then you’ll know that your characters need lots of gold to help learn the skills and abilities they need, to buy armor and to buy better weapons so they can keep completing quests. World of Warcraft Ultimate PvE Guide

The Warcraft Ultimate was advertised as a PvP guide and among its many unique features include the Wow character building.

It is basically a very detailed 318 page PDF file to guide one through character buliding. All of the 9 different classes are discussed in depth via 9 different chapters. The file includes an additional 10th chapter consisting of “races and their small differences”.

I found the book to be more useful in building an ultimate raiding character for PvE, as opposed to a PvP character.

I’m the first person to admit, that while I played a lot, basically since the games inception, I never really ‘got’ the finer points of character development. Sure, I was advanced beyond the basics, but I was always left feeling like other players somehow knew things I didn’t. No matter what class I played, I never felt like I was reaching the top echelon of players. It was frustrating. That all changed after reading Warcraft Ultimate Guide.

Practically speaking, in order to succeed in Wow, you have to put the time in and really learn the ins and outs of your class. Information can be found all over the web, but who has the time it takes to find web sites or forums with information that is actually useful and well presented?

Warcraft Ultimate Guide neatly lays out all the information you need to build the ultimate raiding character. By explaining in depth talents, gems, enchants, consumables and abilities, you will be able to efficiently develop a character worthy of any end game instance. Once you’ve found your ideal server, and keep in mind you can create multiple characters on any server, it is time for it you to decide on your faction. Alliance and Horde are the two factions. In the original World of Warcraft game each faction has four different races to choose from once you choose your faction you cannot change once you’re in the game you will need to create a new character to play on the other faction.

Alliance faction is made up of:

* Humans 
* Gnomes 
* Dwarves 
* Night Elf
* Draenei (The Burning Crusade)

The Horde faction is made up of:

* Orc 
* Tauren 
* Troll 
* Undead
* Blood Elves (The Buring Crusade)

Since the release of the original World of Warcraft there have been two expansion packs that add in additional races, classes and professions, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.

There is a capital city for each faction and specific lands that belong to it, these are places you cna feel very sade in while playing on a PvP server. It is in these capital cities and lands that you’ll find other faction players going about questing and looking for gold and it is these players you can also assist in the more difficult quests in dungeons, instances and raids.
