Impressive DPS is where all the talents of an Assassination is anchored. A Combat Rogue will allow you sustained DPS and more potent poisons. But if you want to PvP your way to honor, the best route to take is Subtlety. Its sheer combination of talents makes it the perfect talent tree for a PvP Rogue as well as a Rogue that’s specced for the battlegrounds.
Subtlety is the name of their game. The initial challenge to picking your path towards the final tier of the talent tree is to decide which talent to pick up first with your first talent point. because unlike with other classes, the tier one talents of the Subtlety Rogue are not to be missed out. So be ready to invest more than a few points on tier one.
Relentless Strikes is a really solid choice as this allows you to earn back 25% of the energy you used in attacking your opponents. You shouldn’t also pass up on Opportunity which pretty much covers the bread and butter moves of the Subtlety Rogue.
At the second tier, you should get Camouflage which will definitely give your Stealth capabilities some improvements. This comes in handy when returning back to your Stealth mode. But that’s not all that Camouflage can dish out. It also increases your speed when in Stealth mode. If you’re considering to leave out this talent in favor of Dirty Tricks and Sleight of Hand – which by the way are pretty awesome by themselves – just think of one thing: you can never be caught out of stealth, otherwise you’re good as dead.
The Elusiveness is the talent that makes most Rogue tricks even more fun to use. You see, Rogues depend on their tricks to win out PvP combats. Reduce your cooldowns by investing some of your talent points on Elusiveness. Another good talent to get at this tier is the Ghostly Strike. Stealth-wise, this offers next to nothing but it is a good talent for enhancing your dodging capabilities. It also pairs up well with the talents in the lower tiers.
Setup is the way to roll if you have chosen the Ghostly Strike. {Great for melee encounters}.
Initiative is also a good talent if you want good combo points, if you use it with Cheap Shot, that is. If you’re wielding Cheap Shot, you should try to invest some on Dirty Deeds. Otherwise, you can get Hemorrhage or Preparation.
The following tiers are pretty much self-explanatory. Just always stick with your path towards Shadow Dance and your PvP Rogue won’t go wrong.
