Mario Galaxy 2

There are many protagonists out there from the video games that it is pretty hard to keep track of the best ones, however here is a small list of the most loved creations.

Mario

This has to be at the very top for the gaming franchises simply because so many games have been made around this one character. Donkey King was the arcade game that players first saw Mario in, he was know as jumpman then though. Since the very first appearance he has been in many other games including ones that do not just involved him like Mario Kart and Smash Bros. He remains the biggest gaming character of all time.

Mastercheif

Bungie rather stupidly turned away from focusing Halo: ODST on Mastercheif, has anyone else noticed that the game didn't sell too well. Making his debut in 2001 in the game Halo: Combat Evolved, Mastercheif went on to star in two other games Halo 2 and 3 before apparently getting lost in the middle of space. Is it likely that we will ever see the cheif in another Halo game.

Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic is another one of the big ones and he first appeared in 1991 as Sega’s attempt to rival Mario and has appeared in so many games since then. He has to be the second biggest videos game character next to Mario which is why rather surprisingly he quite often appears next to him in games. He has appeared with Mario in both the Olympic games and in Smash Bros Brawl. It is rumoured that he is going to be making an appearance in Mario Galaxy 2. That would ruin it for me if I am being honest.

The best thing to do before you buy a game is to check out the reviews, this goes for things like toys reviews and gadgets reviews too!

How To Win At Mario Kart Wii

September 25th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

If you have attempted multiplayer Mario Kart Wii over WiFi, then you will stand with us when we say that it’s one of the best online gaming experiences you will ever share in this lifetime.  The thrill of participating opposite fellow players and racing with them throughout several tracks is truly breathtaking.

So how fun is a multiplayer game of Mario Kart Wii?

Imagine this : you’re driving Mario’s favourite go kart-style racer, and you’re lagging at second position on the final lap.  You are increasing speed, and the player in pole position is in view.  You know you are going to be able to pip them on the next bend, as fast turn drifts are your fave moves.  The bend comes,  you’re right at their tail.  You increase the gas and reverse at the same time.  You spin the wheel and drift right past the enemy.

Such is the fun that may be had in a multiplayer game of Mario Kart Wii.  You won’t be playing against the PC AI.  You will be playing against live folks from widespread regions of the world.  They’re living, breathing, cognitive players who will react in turn to the scenarios encountered by each round.  This makes every game harder, and ultimately, more fulfilling.

Do you want to become a master Mario Kart Wii player?  These are a collection of tips which will help you enhance your game:

- Practice the ‘rocket start.’ This is a staple of each and every Mario Kart game. Successfully performing the rocket start will give you an early advantage in the race.  To pull off the rocket start, press the accelerator button as quickly as the timer counts down to 2.  You want to perfect your timing though, as being inaccurate for a mere millisecond will downplay the move.

- Collisions are bad.  As much as practical, avoid smashing into other racers as this will reduce your speed and it will take time before you build up to your peak once more.  Instead of racing side by side with another player, try and trail them, so you’d know where they are.  Then overtake your opponent when your boost power is prepared.  By doing this, you’ll be way ahead of them and out of collision range when the boost wears off.

- Either learn how to drift or find out how to ease off the accelerator button.  Most players are just impatient.  They want to step on the acceleration at most times and run over each obstacle in a course, including walls on bends.  However, you won’t be able to pull off most turns at top speed.  You will have to learn how to drift or relent with the accelerator button to slow you down a tad, enough to pull off the sharp turns found in Mario Kart Wii.
