I doubt you’re reading this guide with no idea who Joana is. Joana is a renowned powerleveler in WoW. He enjoys starting a character on a new realm and trying to see if he can improve his questing route to see if he can beat his best played time. He has also competed in one of Blizzard’s leveling competitions to get to 50 as quickly as possible. As you probably guessed he wins those by impressive margins.
If you’re looking for some other excellent guides for WoW you can find them in my Best WoW Guide section.
For anybody looking for a leveling guide these statistics are obviously quite interesting to credit the author. The big interest in his leveling speed lead him to release his now popular horde leveling guides. My regular faction isn’t usually Horde so I had to go out of my way to try this one out, but that aside it was well worth the adventure.
If you’re really looking for something unique in your use of this guide it must be that Joana actually recorded his leveling process showing you exactly how he went about his speed runs. Even though this might seem dull at first, it is rather interesting to see how he achieves what he does in the leveling game.
If that doesn’t suit your needs, you can always turn to his in-game addon. It provides you with an arrow that changes color depending how close you are to your target and it makes sure you keep on the trail. On top of this you will get a small screen that has a step by step guide of what to do, including where to go, what items to pick, what quest to turn in etc. .
Another cool feature from the author is that unlike any other leveling guides I know, you’re not forced into buying the whole product. They’re split up into 3 different units made up of a 1-70 version, a 70-80 version and the 1-80 version. This means that if you happen to start playing again after quitting before Wrath of the Lich King came out you don’t have to invest in a part of the guide you won’t even use.
Another surprising aspect were his user testimonials. I’m not referring to those on the site. The interesting part was that he has a myspace page and it’s full of comments from users that liked his guide. On top of this he has a whooping 2193 friends which I’m pretty sure will mostly be users of his guide, and that’s only the part that uses myspace or could be worried to do more than use his guide.
I’m very impressed with what Joana provides in his Horde leveling guides. If you would like a more comprehensive review you can find it over at Joana’s Guide Review . In it I will cover all the features and more as you can expect from this guide.
