How Does The New Tiger Woods Game Play

copy PS games

The new Tiger Woods 11 game came out not too long ago so I thought it would be a great idea to try it out for a couple of reasons. one of the main reasons that I got this game was because there was nothing else out, the other was that I hadn’t bought one since the 2008 version!

Was It Worth It?

the game has come on a bit since the last version I have played but I am not sure it is enough for the normal price tag, graphics have come on a bit and I suppose the gameplay has too. One of the biggest editions to this years game is the inclusion of the Ryder Cup, although people have been asking for this for ages, they still have not go it right.

on of the biggest things that I found to be wrong with the game was the putting, it is pretty easy to putt even the longest of putts. The other problems I have with the game is that the camera sometimes goes all over the place when you are taking a drive into the unknown and the crowd characters still look awful.

The weather effects are good but the heavy rain can just suddenly come from nowhere which is a bit strange. I would actually say that not much has changed in three years for this game, this is shocking, we wouldn’t put up with it if it was a FPS.

Overall I would say there is not much need to fire up those mobility batteries ormotorcycle batteries for this one as even golf battery could not save this game from being poor.

I would really like to score this game well but I couldn’t tell much difference between 8 and 11!

SimGolf Was A Great Game

July 3rd, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

This is of course the computer game that was created by Sid Meier in 2002 and was and still is the only game that let it’s players create and run a golf course and use a professional to play on (Good ol Gary Golfer). I remember playing this game way back in the day and it really was fantastic fun indeed, there were so many things you could do.

One of the best elements of the game was building the course up from nothing to everything. Of course starting the game from scratch you have to start from the very first hole. You need to decide on how long the hole has to be and you create the hole to how you want. You are allowed to make the courses as easy or as hard as you like putting 1 or perhaps 50 bunkers in the same hole. However the people that came to your course always needed to be happy to spend so you needed to make sure you were doing this.

Getting people on the course that sell drinks to players when they are playing is a good one here. You can also slowly begin to build up a major golf resort which can consist of airstrips, casinos and even celebrity homes placed all over the course. The whole element of the game was once you had designed you had to ever tweak and maintain.

To make sure that the course was not being overgrown with things like weeds you had to hire people to sort it. I actually started to play it again the other day and although you will notice that the graphics look very bad indeed now it is still a very good game indeed.

So charge up those golf trolley batteries and those UPS batteries and start playing golf. Mobility scooter batteries can be used for this purpose too.

Tiger Woods golf on the Wii- A step towards playing the real thing?

March 19th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

If Tiger Woods 09 was the game i was talking about then most certainly not. A great game on Sony's PS3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360 it still is very limited on who is going to buy it really as the majority of gamers prefer the shooters. I will most certainly be buying the new edition of the Tiger Woods series. Why on earth would I bother to do this? It’s certainly not because I’m saving money on electric golf trolleys that’s for sure. The great Nintendo motion sensing technolgy wasn't as great as it was expected to be and although great for kids it does get in the way of devlopers making half decent games for it. I wont go into how much of a disappointment Nintendo have been over the last 3-4 years however with the invention of the MotionPlus attachment for the Wii remote this makes the game respond to how you move, something which should have been researched into more before the console was released.

When the weather is grim and there is no way that you are going to be able to get out and play on the local course all you have to do is turn the Wii on and you can get going without even having to brave any of the weather. It is a great way to see what a golfer goes through on the course from trying to figure out the wind direction to how hard they have to swing and what club to use.

There are defiantly going to be a boost on sales of this game on the Wii this year that is almost certain. Many people who are rubbish at the sport including myself can find that this is easier to use and even if you still fail at least it is in the safety of your living room and not in the middle of the golf course. You can scream at the course as much as you want on the game as there is no one there to tell you to be quiet so there! Back in the summer I was helping out the greenkeepers of a local golf course and there is no way watching someone miss their ball on the Wii is going to be quite the same as it was in real life but still it will help to improve the way you swing at the ball as well as hand eye co-ordination.
The best thing of all is that you no longer have to charge golf batteries up, just walk into the room, pick up the remote and have a game!

The New Generation of Games Consoles

February 17th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

People love to play computer games, whether a fighting or sports game it all about winning. But the Nintendo Wii has brought so much more to the table then any other console, now instead of just playing a game and tiring out your mind, you can now also tire out your body.

I myself play golf a lot and to be honest I did not used to be very good, no matter what golf clubs or golf putters I purchased it just did not help me. Well a few months back I decided to buy a Nintendo Wii and it came with the golf game. I am so into golf so decided to play the golf game.

After playing for a few weeks, my new skills and confidence was gleaming, so I decided to join a tournament. I didn’t feel I would get very far, but to my surprise I got through the first round and then the second and third, I was in the semi finals but unfortunatley I got knocked out by an excellent player who had probably had 10 years and more of experience.

I was not going to get myself upset as I have gone from knowing nothing to playing in a major competition from the help of a games console. I do openly recommend that if you are looking to get into any type of sport to go out and buy yourself a Nintendo Wii, within a few weeks you will have excelled your game. The wii and a nice set of golf equipment is all you need.
