How Does The New Tiger Woods Game Play

copy PS games

The new Tiger Woods 11 game came out not too long ago so I thought it would be a great idea to try it out for a couple of reasons. one of the main reasons that I got this game was because there was nothing else out, the other was that I hadn’t bought one since the 2008 version!

Was It Worth It?

the game has come on a bit since the last version I have played but I am not sure it is enough for the normal price tag, graphics have come on a bit and I suppose the gameplay has too. One of the biggest editions to this years game is the inclusion of the Ryder Cup, although people have been asking for this for ages, they still have not go it right.

on of the biggest things that I found to be wrong with the game was the putting, it is pretty easy to putt even the longest of putts. The other problems I have with the game is that the camera sometimes goes all over the place when you are taking a drive into the unknown and the crowd characters still look awful.

The weather effects are good but the heavy rain can just suddenly come from nowhere which is a bit strange. I would actually say that not much has changed in three years for this game, this is shocking, we wouldn’t put up with it if it was a FPS.

Overall I would say there is not much need to fire up those mobility batteries ormotorcycle batteries for this one as even golf battery could not save this game from being poor.

I would really like to score this game well but I couldn’t tell much difference between 8 and 11!

SimGolf Was A Great Game

July 3rd, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

This is of course the computer game that was created by Sid Meier in 2002 and was and still is the only game that let it’s players create and run a golf course and use a professional to play on (Good ol Gary Golfer). I remember playing this game way back in the day and it really was fantastic fun indeed, there were so many things you could do.

One of the best elements of the game was building the course up from nothing to everything. Of course starting the game from scratch you have to start from the very first hole. You need to decide on how long the hole has to be and you create the hole to how you want. You are allowed to make the courses as easy or as hard as you like putting 1 or perhaps 50 bunkers in the same hole. However the people that came to your course always needed to be happy to spend so you needed to make sure you were doing this.

Getting people on the course that sell drinks to players when they are playing is a good one here. You can also slowly begin to build up a major golf resort which can consist of airstrips, casinos and even celebrity homes placed all over the course. The whole element of the game was once you had designed you had to ever tweak and maintain.

To make sure that the course was not being overgrown with things like weeds you had to hire people to sort it. I actually started to play it again the other day and although you will notice that the graphics look very bad indeed now it is still a very good game indeed.

So charge up those golf trolley batteries and those UPS batteries and start playing golf. Mobility scooter batteries can be used for this purpose too.

Who Runs the UK Lottery?

May 22nd, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

Did it every come to your mind that who is the owner of UK lottery? Such great deals of funds are invested in this business, that it is very natural to think that the owners of the UK lottery must be extremely rich. The UK lottery is actually possessed by several stockholders, which means that the profit earned is equally distributed amongst the stockholders who help in getting the company funded.

The UK lottery is at present under the control of a company called Camelot. They administer the various kinds of sponsorships and expenses. They also make certain that things run smoothly. Camelot became the supervisor in 2001 after they won the franchise for it. The bid happens in every eight years, and The National Lottery Commission awards the UK lottery rights to a particular company.

However, the National Lottery Commission is responsible to look after the running of Camelot. It also is not responsible for any of the winnings. The commission was recognized so that the lottery players can all be treated justly. This commission is not related to the British government and consists of a staff of nearly 50 people. Their headquarters is located in Watford, though most of the staff is from London.

In order to facilitate the altering of the franchise to a new owner, the National Lottery Commission is organized into five directors in departments like Resources, Licensing, the Project Team, Compliance, Performance, and Communications. The members of the department are employed by the secretary of State for media, culture, and sport. They also employ the Chief Executive, which decides regarding issues about the lottery and franchise.

The Commission also looks after grievances that weren’t suitably handled by the company who has the UK lottery franchise. They confirm that no one below age participates in the game, and that players are not greatly spending on this. The Commission also supervises several things undertaken by Camelot, however they don’t interfere much into the coordination or operation of the game. The commission is also responsible to ensure that the fund is allocated correctly.

Funds gathered from the lottery are split up between the prize fund and various good causes. Some of the money also goes directly to the government, the retailers that supply the lottery cards or tickets, and Camelot itself. 28p per pound is given to Good Causes, which is set out by Parliament. Some people consider this more of a stealth tax, but it goes to support the Big Lottery Fund. Some of the money from the Dream Number lottery game goes to help out with the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

As per, the rules established by the National Lottery Commission, the players have to be above the age of 16 years. Camelot takes part in both methods – the scratch cards and the number match games, however the Lotto is known to be the most renowned. The players playing the ‘pick-the-number games’ can typically play on the Wednesdays or Saturdays every week. The Daily Play is another popular game which takes place every day of the week, excluding Sunday. EuroMillion is most suitable, for those looking for a big jackpot as it has a rolling jackpot including all of UK.

Can You Purchase Lottery Tickets Over the Net Legally?

May 14th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

In 2009 it’s possible to buy almost anything over the net. That includes your UK lottery tickets, which are entirely legal to purchase over the net.

As the United Kingdom’s leading lottery game, the UK Lottery has authorized representatives in shops all over the country. However, just because vendors operate on nearly every corner, there are still times you cannot get out of your house, hurry to the shop, and then stand in line to place your bets. There is another way to buy your tickets that you can do from the privacy of your home. Buy your tickets over the net!

There are many reasons to purchase tickets online:

If you play the lottery online, you won’t have to scurry down to the shop before it closes. You won’t have to brave the crush of players on Wednesday and Saturday nights. You can buy the tickets you want and the time you choose. All you have to do is to log into an approved site with a few simple clicks, pay, and your tickets are sent to you by email. Buying your UK Lottery tickets over the net is not just legal but safe, as long as you are sure you use an authorized website (with the UK Lottery logo) that takes every precaution to protect your banking data.

One of the great advantages of a virtual ticket is that it is essentially impossible to lose. When you purchase your UK Lottery tickets over the World Wide Web, you are sent an email linking you to the numbers you chose. You can, of course, print out your virtual ticket to make it a paper ticket, but you can also just keep the email to access your numbers whenever you like.

You don’t have to take the time to check the lottery numbers.  If you win, you are automatically sent an email notifying you of your winnings. You have a wider selection of lottery games. You can purchase lottery tickets from other countries, such as the United States.

When you have a wider selection of lottery games, you have a better chance of winning the jackpot. It is also safe and legal to buy tickets for foreign lotteries; just be sure you use an authorized lottery web site when you make your purchases.

You simply go online, manually enter your chosen lottery numbers (or select the Lucky Dip option to have the numbers randomly selected for you) and then you are emailed a virtual ticket.  You can then either print this ticket or save the email with the link to your lottery numbers.

As with all other online purchases, there are basic safety concerns. Fortunately, approved lottery ticket vendors take elaborate precautions in order to your purchasing information safe and secure from criminal hackers.

Here are the basic rules. Always look for the UK Lottery logo. That is the way you will know you are using an authorized site. Keep your user names and passwords safe, and always log off your computer after you use your bank information to buy the tickets. This reduces the chances a hacker could read your bank numbers from your browser.

Finally, it costs the same to play the lottery online as it does to purchase tickets from a national lottery retailer. You don’t have to pay extra to play the lottery online. The convenience of playing online is not extra, which makes it an especially attractive option for those who regularly play the UK Lottery.

Nonetheless, there are a few commonsense precautions you should consider just in case.

The first thing you need to be sure of when you log in to buy your tickets is that you are a lottery-approved website. Every approved, official website will display the UK Lottery log on its page. Never buy tickets from a site that does not display the lottery’s official logo.

Buy your plays from the peace and quiet of your own home, taking your time to select exactly the numbers you want, or allowing the computer to randomly select your numbers with a Lucky Dip. Which Company Runs the UK Lottery?

May 1st, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

The UK lottery is presently run by Camelot Group plc. In a period of eight years, bidding is done to see which company is capable of operating the national lottery. This progression is managed by an organization known as National Lottery Commission, which is not a British government related company. It also ensures the lottery players are treated in a just way.

Camelot came into being in 1993. It had several shareholders such as Thales Electronics plc, Cadbury Schweppes, Fujitsu Services Ltd., De La Rue Holdings plc, and Royal Mail Enterprises Ltd. GTECH was one of the shareholders, however it was later bought-out after an issue which that affected the bid. Their executives such as Tim Holley were held in charge of Camelot unfairly getting large bonuses. When the case was taken to Labor government, and it found out about the loopholes and the way the executives in Camelot were making money, it became a very big embarrassment for Camelot.

Camelot again decided to bid for the national lottery in 2001. The People’s Lottery, one of their rivals was sure that they would be the winner after the problem with GTECH. It was later discovered that the lottery terminals, made by the GTECH had a technical fault, which made them allot the incorrect quantity of winnings. GTECH sold off their shares, and Camelot then kept up its biddings.

After some time, Dame Helena, the chairperson of the National Lottery Commission, said that both the companies did not fulfill the criteria to operate the lottery. Even after this, the National Lottery Commission attempted to unfairly give the UK lottery company to the People’s Lottery. Camelot complained against such injustice and took the Commission to court. The High Court found the commission as unfair and awarded the case in favor of Camelot. The National Lottery Commission sacked their Treasury team, which that made this deal.

When the bidding opened again, Camelot won by 4-1. The shareholders of Camelot were as before, with just the exception of the GTECH, which was bought-out. The company is presently operating the largest franchise of lottery in UK; and do fund raising for different good causes. The biggest lottery game in UK is famous as Lotto, and most of their lottery games use the method of ‘scratch cards’ and ‘choosing the number’ games.

The money raised by the UK lottery is divided into several different categories. Most of the money for every pound spent goes to the prize money (50p) or various good causes (28p). 12p goes to the British government and 5p goes to the people who well the lottery tickets and such. Camelot takes in 5p per pound, using 4.5 of it to cover their costs and saving 0.5 for their own profit.

Camelot has successfully operated the UK lottery franchise, and it has thrived under it. When sales started declining, they came up with a new campaign with lowered costs. This is the time when several lottery games were changed to the Lotto. After that, the sales again picked momentum. They recently run a campaign, where one of the lottery games was intended to raise funds for the 2012, Olympics and the Paralympics.

Black Wii - Looking Good

March 14th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

It’s probably reasonable to suggest that all of the big three games consoles – Sony’s PS3, the Microsoft Xbox and the Nintendo Wii – all have their own strong points. Different gamers will have their own personal favourites and it’s pretty much a waste of time to try to persuade them that one of the other consoles is any better.

A lot of households today will have more than one, and very possibly all three, games consoles. Not to mention the various mobile consoles like the Sony PSP and the Nintendo DS. It’s quite common these days for games consoles to also see use as blu-ray disc or DVD players.

However, ignoring the almost pointless discussion regarding which console is “best”, it’s probably reasonable to suggest that the Nintendo Wii is the most sociable of the three available consoles. Whereas the Xbox and PS3 are often to be found in teenager’s bedrooms, the Wii is more commonly found in the family living room. The Wii has less processing power than the other two consoles and has much simpler graphics – more cartoon like in general. Even so, it is more often the Wii that can be found wired up to the big flat-screen TV in the living room.

One important factor in this is the fact that the Wii’s motion sensitive controller means that, even though the graphics may be simpler, it’s more difficult to follow the action on a small screen TV when you’re jumping around all over the place. The other thing is that it’s easier and more intuitive to learn games on the Wii. It’s so easy that even adults can manage it – so it’s a lot easier for all the family members to take part in the fun.

One of the consequences of all that jumping about when playing Wii games is that more space is required to play the Wii than the other consoles. This also makes the living room a more attractive choice than the typical teenage bedroom, where you would be tripping over discarded clothes, half eaten pizzas and empty juice bottles. The physical side of playing games on the Wii is a good thing. It means that there’s a certain amount of exercise involved when playing Wii games. Mind you, you should be careful and take it easy at first. It’s all too easy to wake up with a sore arm or stiff legs after an evening playing Wii Sports for the first time.

The tendency for families to have their Wii console in the living room could go some way to explaining the success of the black Wii. Nintendo went to the dark side and released a black Wii console in Japan in the summer of 2009. It was launched in Europe in time for Christmas 2009. It turned out to be an extremely popular choice with many gamers – possibly because it matches the TV, the cable box, the DVD player etc. – better than the white version.

Funny Simpsons Arcade Game

March 1st, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

I was not a gaming fan, but have now become one. After I discovered this particular Arcade game. I was reading something about iPhones on this blog, iphonehelp.in, when I stumbled on a post which reviewed Simpson’s Arcade game. And have to say my views are parallel to the reviewer’s.

For all the Simpsons admirers here is ““The Simpsons Arcade”. The game is very interesting and includes 25+ levels in 6 different environments. I have not still reached to all the levels but in initial few levels it’s wonderful to play as Homer to get his doughnut- driven destiny. There are “Family Frenzy” power- ups to ask for help from Marge, Maggie, Lisa and Bart, who can come to Homer’s rescue.

This is one of the amazing arcade games I have come across. The touch screen handles which are ok to hit, catch and flip, kick, butt slam, jump, pick up and throw objects, belly flop, and dodge enemies. I would rate the games UI and touch screen control A+ where there are some hilarious engagements for the players like “Slap Homer” back to life, indulge in “Doughnut Dreams, ” or participate in “Inflato- Head” balloon blowing up contest.

Game’s music is also funky and funny and it adds much more thrill while playing. Nevertheless, one can choose the option of playing one’s own fave number.

Overall a great arcade game but few modifications can build it best like better start, ie you will need a lot of time to show each title screens each time you play, and also let you save from the exactly place where you left off.

I’ve always loved the Simpsons, but this game makes me love Simpsons all the more. I would recommend all Simpsons fans or any person who enjoys gaming to try out Simpsons Arcade game.

Is the Xbox the Game Winner?

February 8th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

The Xbox 360 is getting old. That is to say, in the rapidly advancing field of home video gaming it’s pretty much become the senior member. Released back in 2005, Microsoft’s follow up to its overwhelmingly successful original Xbox is now the oldest game console of what can be considered the current generation. The other two big players, Sony and Nintendo, both released their competing consoles at least a year after Microsoft. But is it still the best choice in gaming systems? Many would say it is.

The Xbox 360 came to the arena prepared to leave a lasting mark and to make sure the world knew that the second Xbox was going to hold its own against any and all competition. Sony already had the Playstation 1 and the Playstation 2 on the market, with development for Playstation 3 underway. Unfortunately for Sony, Microsoft beat them to the release date and contained fewer bugs.

The Wii is a unique gaming experience, that’s for sure. No one can argue that it offers something cool and allows you to play games in a way you’ve never done before. Okay, some people will argue against that and many will tell you the whole Wii controller is just ridiculous, but let’s leave these varying opinions to the wayside for now.

There are games on all three of the main consoles that compete directly with one another. Whatever Microsoft and Sony want to claim, if someone owns all three consoles but chooses to buy a certain game on Wii instead of the others, then it’s competition no matter how you draw it.

The games that are available to the Xbox 360 are far more advanced from a graphic point of view than those available for the Wii. They can also be designed to be more in depth and faster moving because the Xbox platform is just so powerful. In fact, many third party game designers can’t or simply don’t bother trying to put certain games on the Wii because it just won’t do what they want.

Whether it was the fault of the Wii or the fact that people just didn’t want it, the PS 3 didn’t sell well. This means less people are using it which means a lot of the gaming experience that the Xbox 360 and PS 3 are built around are simply better with the former. With the online gaming world, for instance, would you rather play the games amongst a fan base of 30 million people with the Xbox, or less than 15 million with the PS 3?

Tennis shoes, cars, computers and even soft drinks are all about marketing. There has to be something that sets it apart from the competitors. Microsoft took the game to a new playing field and charged up the competition. There will be other consoles in the future but until that time, in my opinion, the Xbox 360 is the way to go.
