From World of Warcraft Guides

Once you have created your Death Knight you will see that you have no talent points yet. That can be quite weird for a level 55 character but you shouldn’t worry. The quests in and around the Ebon Hold will all give you talent points. But how exactly should you use these to level up your Death Knight really fast?

Well, that is what this guide is about. I will explain which talent build is nice and for what reason.

To start with I must say that the Death Knight is a great class that has nice abilities like a pet, great damaging spells, plate armor and heavy normal attacks. The talent trees are Blood, Frost, and Unholy.

What you are looking for while leveling is a build that allows you to continue fighting and speed you up in any other way possible. That’s the reason why I say that a Blood/Unholy build would be the best for leveling. Assuming that you will level solo, I have made the following build and you will see that this build is great for solo leveling:

Death Knight Leveling Guide

Let’s start with the Blood talents. Butchery is great for leveling, and it should be taken no matter which build you decide to make if you want to level fast. Then you got some nice talents that improve your damage and then you see Rune Tap and the Improved Rune Tap talent. This is one of those talents that will keep you going because it will restore your HP. Then you have Vendetta, Mark of Blood, Blood Worms, Blood Aura, and Vampiric Blood that will also help you to keep your hit points up. With all these talents you basically can’t die while leveling.

With Hysteria, Hearth Strike, Might of Mograine, Blood Gorged and Dancing Rune Weapon you will have great damaging abilities.

The main reason you should focus on Unholy a bit as well is that you will become a bit more effective when it comes to AoE damage with Morbidity and Corpse Explosion. Then you have a 5% Dodge chance through Anticipation and some extra stats from Shadow of Death. The reduced cooldown on Death Grip is also very handy. Last but definitely not least is On a Pale Horse. This talent is great for leveling, and it will reduce your traveling time. A nice side effect of this leveling talent is that your stun and fear effects will be reduced by 20%.

Altogether you can say that this build will keep you going because of all the health abilities the Blood tree has to offer. The Blood tree also has a few nice damaging abilities while the Unholy tree adds a bit of AoE damage and reduces your traveling time. Nice thing about it is that with the talent tree you are also capable to deal with opponents in PvP situations, which is especially nice on PvP realms.

Death Knights –The World of Warcraft’s true heroes

October 19th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

Death Knights are the latest class in the World of Warcraft. The new class became available when the World of Warcraft Expansion ‘Wrath of the Lich King’ was released. Blizzard called the Death Knight a Hero class because of several reasons. This doesn’t mean that this class is more powerful than other classes, it just means that it is different.

They do have a new attack system because their attacks and spells are based on Runic Power. They have two runes with a cooldown at their disposal for any attack and spell. The Runes are divided in three sets of two Blood, Frost and Unholy Runes. The talent trees have the same names as these mentioned runes.

A Death Knight wears plate armor, deals melee damage and has several spells that can be cast from distance as well.  The Death Knight class can play both a tank and a good melee dps role in any dungeon group and raid. A DK can use one-hander and two-hander weapons and cannot wield shields.

If you want to create a DK you will need to have another level 70 char in possession. You will start leveling a DK at level 55 which will make your journey a lot easier. Another good point is that you will already have some money at disposal, set of bags and decent gear to continue your leveling.

Your journey will start in The Ebon Hold in the Eastern Plaguelands. At first you will be fighting together with the forces of the Lich King. You will be taking direct orders from the Lich King himself during the quest chains that you should complete in the areas around the Ebon Hold. As rewards for the quests that you complete there you will receive nice blue items and talent points. Since your char starts on the level 55 you won’t have some talent points, however, you will be able to earn those points back by doing quests.

For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Guide

When you reach the level 58 the quest chain you were following will change dramatically. Your char will manage to escape and he/she will join the enemies of the Lich King. At this level you can go anywhere you want and continue your leveling, however the best choice for fast leveling will be the Outlands area. Your char will leave The Ebon Hold completely prepared when it comes to gear and talent points.

As any other character, a Death Knight should also choose two primary professions. The choice of professions is solely up to you, however there are a few professions that can match a DK good. Enchanting is always nice to have because of the ring enchants you can make on your own rings. Since ring enchants are only available for the Enchanter himself it is nice for any character. Jewelcrafting, which is best combined with Mining for cheap leveling purposes, is nice because a Jewelcrafter can make better gems for own use. Because a lot of gear has sockets at later levels this is a nice profession. With JC you will be able to craft other pieces of Jewelry as well, for example necklaces. Blacksmithing is also a good option because you will be able to make plate gear. With BS you can also make sockets for your wrists and gloves and a belt buckle which comes as an additional socket for your belt.

The DK class is very fun to play. The only down point is that there are so many of them. The only thing that might bother you is that almost everyone has made a DK simply because you start at level 55 and it is fairly easy to level a char from there on.

Leveling A Death Knight In WoW? Read This First

March 3rd, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

If you’re looking for some tips on how to level your death knight, then this guide was written for you. Specifically, we’re going to talk about why you need to finish all the death knight quests in the starting area, which spec is best for leveling, and why you should follow a death knight leveling guide. By the time you’ve finished reading this article, you’ll know how to level a death knight fast.

While you may be eager to level your death knight quickly and hit Northrend asap – it’s very important that you finish all of the quests in the death knight starting area. This is because you will receive several powerful weapons and armor which you won’t be replacing for a long time. You will also unlock a few skills and all of your missing talent points.

Luckily, Blizzard have spent a lot of time on these death knight quest chains, and they’re some of the most fun and enjoyable quests in the entire game.

Now we need to talk about what each of the Death Knight’s specs are designed for. The Unholy spec can be useful for leveling, but it’s primarily designed to be the PVP spec. The primary spec for damage dealing is Blood, and it’s the one most players choose to level with. Last but not least, we have the frost talent build. This is primarily a spec for tanking, which also means it’s not very effective for solo leveling.

Finally, one of the fastest ways to level your death knight is to follow a death knight leveling guide. There’s no shortage of free leveling guides online, and this is due to the huge popularity of the death knight class.

However, the best guide on the market has to be Zygor’s leveling guide. It does cost $50, but it’s a bargain for the time you’ll save while following his guide to level 80. Also, this guide is an “in-game” guide, which means you will never have to close your WoW client to see where you need to be going.

To summarize, this article has shown you some valuable tips and advice for leveling a death knight fast. In particular, we have talked about why you should finish the starting quests, which spec is fastest for leveling, and what leveling guide you should buy for your death knight. Now that you have finished reading this article, you have everything you need to start leveling your death knight quicker.

The WotLK Death Knight Class

February 8th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Playstation 2 Games, Playstation 3 Games, Playstation Games

The Death Knight in the Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK - the latest World of Warcraft Expansion pack) plays the dual role of tanking and DPS. They perform these tasks as well if not better than the other classes. Blizzard has saturated this class with abilities that are both new and creative and therefore likely that players will enjoy.

The WotLK Death Knight charges in. As others beat at it, the Death Knight keeps the foe in its place soaking up damage while taking the first hit. Avoid playing the Death Knight class if you prefer ranged damage or healing your teammates.

PvP

You’re going to have to learn how to play PVP all over again with the Death Knight. You will be effective once you get the hang of it. You will get a feel for it by practicing dueling and playing the battlegrounds at which point you can proceed with joining an arena team.

Raiding

Death Knights shine at raiding. They can put out high damage and tank as good as any other class in World Of Warcraft.

Builds

WotLK Death Knight talents are split into 3 categories, each of which are fully capable of supporting either a tanking or dps role:

Blood: This tree primarily amplifies the Death Knight’s melee spells, weapons, and abilities, and has a prominent health-regeneration theme.

Frost: This tree has many control elements, with a strong critical strike/bonus damage theme, as well as several talents that improve physical damage mitigation.

Unholy: This tree has a heavy focus on diseases and related abilities, as well as improving summoned minions. Also has AoE, spell damage shielding, and mobility-improvement sub-themes.

Suggested Professions

As a plate mail wearer, the WotLK Death Knight would do well to choose Blacksmithing as a profession, with Mining as a complement.

You probably won't need a gathering profession since you need to have a level 55 character to unlock a Wrath of the Lich King Death Knight. If you have gold to burn on leveling your Death Knight’s profession, consider Blacksmithing and Enchanting to run around with effective gear while you level.

World of Warcraft Mastery will soon include a detailed Wotlk Death Knight guide as part of its package of Warcraft Guides.
