One of the most famous professions in WoW is Enchanting, but it is also considered as one of the hardest to learn. However, it is certainly time well spent since you will be able to use these abilities regularly. With this WoW Enchanting Guide, the aim is to learn more about Enchanting.Adding special attributes or enchanting items is not everything of an enchanter’s capabilities. Enchanters can also disenchant items, apart from enchanting them – and should be very useful in several situations in the game.
Enchanting is not for everyone, but with the right strategy and a good deal of patience, and if you think this skill will benefit you greatly, it doesn’t have to be hard. This time, we are making it really easy for you.
WoW Enchanting Guide: Getting Started
You need to find a trainer to get your apprenticeship. This wouldn’t be hard, since they are readily available in various places in bigger cities. Next, pick a secondary profession like tailoring and others. The choices are really much open. Just take note that you wouldn’t have to do any gathering for this profession, so there is no need to select a secondary profession that deals with gathering, for example: mining.
Now what you need is an item to enchant and the recipe to enchant it. Disenchanting an item will destroy it so be very careful when trying to decide to disenchant one. There’s no turning back, so disenchant wisely.

Enchanting
To start the actual process of enchanting, let’s work on an Enchant Bracer, which is worn on the wrist to deflect objects. To prepare this recipe, we need strange dust and lesser magic essence. If you don’t have these items, you would need to buy them from either a vendor or an auction house.
Once you have with you the items, open up the spellbook and and look for the enchanting window. Just follow the instructions and you’ll have your first enchanted item that is for level 1. You will need to level up past 300.
Disenchanting
Disenchanting an item may be necessary at times so you can collect the special dusts and poweders that you need. Just open you Spellbook and select disenchant. After doing this, select the item you want to disenchant by moving the mouse over to it. Remember that it may take a few minutes to complete and that you can’t undo the process once it starts.
Disenchanting items maybe the easiest and the most cost effective way of gathering dust and other items for your recipes when enchanting. Here’s a quick guide to help you get the items you need:
Dust – Green Armor
Essence – Green Weapons
Shard – Blue Items
Nexus Crystal – Purple Items (up to 60)
Void Crystals – Purple Items (after level 60)
What to Do With Your Skill
Now that you know how to enchant items, you can now trade them with other players if you want to be social, or you can sell them. You can also auction them at the auction house.
