The WoW Warlock Guide

My WoW warlock guide will illustrate to you the primary benefits of creating this character class. Warlocks are supreme masters of the black arts that control demons, shadows, and fire. Casting dark spells of torment and suffering are the warlock’s bread and butter. They can inflict massive destruction from afar but are not often in the middle of the fighting due to their low armor rating. Several of a warlock’s spells use soul shards which must be collected from slain enemies. Warlocks are a breeze to level up in a hurry since they’re incredibly self sufficient when playing solo. They’re oftentimes among the top damage dealing classes when in a raid.
This class is an option that is available only to the Blood Elf, Gnome, Human, Orc, and Undead races. Due to being a caster class, they’re only allowed to don cloth armor. They can use only daggers, staves, swords and wands as weapons.
Warlocks are best known for their ability to summon and control a variety of demonic minions including Felguards, Doomguards, Infernals, Felhunters, Succubi, Voidwalkers, and Imps. Each minion has it’s place with different benefits and drawbacks. Warlocks boast a wide array of spells at their command including DoT’s, direct damage spells (DD’s), and many utility spells. They are even able to conjure up some useful items and resurrect dead players by expending soul shards. They also possess a minor self healing power via drain life, and some crowd control talents as well. Warlocks can also acquire their Felsteed and Dreadsteed mounts at a much lower price than the other classes since they are quest rewards summoned with spells, not purchased directly.
The Affliction specialization focuses on curses, damage over time spells, and drains. This talent spec shines at farming, boss killing, and raiding. Affliction is the best specialization for speed leveling.
The Demonology talent tree uses talents that are meant to make summoned demonic minions stronger and more effective, as well as enhancing conjuring spells and providing you other passive bonuses. This is a great spec for leveling, PvP, and general survivability. When you want to create the most effective demons, this is the specialization to pick.
The Destruction specialization boosts the direct damage potential of both your fire and shadow line of magic. Your warlock can do massive amounts of damage and destruction, but the downside is that you’ll have reduced survivability. The Destruction talent tree is best used later in the game, as it can be difficult to live long enough to use it effectively at lower levels. Although you are able to cause great damage, there are a handful of downsides to this spec that should be taken into account. You’ll need a bunch of soul shards, you will go through mana really quickly, and playing solo will be really tough. On the flip side, it can be really fun.
