My WoW druid guide will attempt to explain the general benefits of playing this character class.
The shape shifting hybrid class in World of Warcraft is the Druid, and this class is one of the most versatile and customizable in the game. Whether it’s Raiding or PvP, druids of every spec can find roles for themselves at the end game.
In the same way as the other classes in World of Warcraft, Talents for druids fall into three main categories, or trees. I will take you on a tour of the druid’s different talent trees.
The Balance Tree which focuses on damage spells that will make the druid a very efficient spell damage dealer. Healing Spells, that are crucial to any good healer, will be modified by some Balance talents. There are others that help you when in feral forms.
The Feral Combat Tree that uses the shape shifting druid forms of Cat, Bear, and Dire Bear, focus on either tanking (Bear and Dire Bear), or on melee DPS(Cat Form). Learning when to change between forms will be your most important task. Some Feral Combat talents will modify your maximum Mana which you would need large amounts of if specializing in the Moonkin form.
The last tree, Restoration, will focus primarily on healing and make the druid a great healing class because druids can acquire the Tree of Life form. Some Restoration talents like Furor, will give the druid Rage when they switch into either Cat or Bear Form. Other talents like Natural Shape Shifter will reduce the Mana cost of shape shifting by thirty percent.
Playing as a druid can have some drawbacks however. Since druids have the ability to do so many things, focusing on a single strategy can be quite difficult. You also need several complete sets of gear, since the many different forms need gear for each one. This will make it essential to carry around a lot more gear than other characters.
