Level Paladin

Paladins were changed a lot with the introduction of Wrath. These changes allowed the Retribution tree to have a more interactive playstyle. If you’re looking for help in regards to leveling your paladin you’ve come to the right guide.
If you’re just looking for some great guides on World of Warcraft you can instead check out my Best WoW Guide Section. This page covers all my favorite WoW Guides, and I’ve covered nearly all of them.
Let’s get back to the Paladin leveling. It has to be clear that Retribution is the only tree to go with if you want to level fast. Some people may go Holy as they like to heal instances, but it limits their soloing capability and ends up slowing you down significantly. There are those that swear by Protection as it allows them to kill multiple MELEE mobs at once. The problem with this is that questing is the fastest way of leveling, and most quests aren’t based around killing plenty of mobs at once, nevermind that it doesn’t work with ranged/caster mobs. As such you can easily find yourself leveling even slower than a Holy Spec, which yes I just absurb.
This brings us back to the Retribution Tree, I suggest you take this build:

This specialization has many superb talents for leveling. As you can see I like spending a lot of points in the Retribution tree and only leave a few talents unused. I suggest you skip Divine Purpose if you’re not on a Player versus Player server. Something else to mention is that you shouldn’t be picking up Improved Blessing of Might until later on as you won’t have the mana to skip Blessing of Wisdom.
I like this tree because it’s packed with a leveler’s talents.. You get new attacks, movement speed increase and debuffs.
For example, combine Heart of the Crusader with Improved Judgement, Judgement of the Wise, Righteous Vengeance, Fanaticism and the other talents that increase your chance to critically strike with judgement. What these talents will do for you is whenever you judge:
Give a chance to reduce the target’s attack power
Increase the target’s chance to get critically hit
Restore your own mana
Have a high chance to critically hit with your judgement
Whenever you critically hit with your judgement you leave a damage over time effect on the target
I hope I made clear how great the synergy within the Retribution tree is. On top of this you can also amp up your Retribution Aura to go from neglible to significant damage.
You will also get cool talents like Repentance to temporarily incapacitate enemies. Or Art of War which allows you to either instantly cast Exorcism or your Flash of Light heal when some of your abilities critically hit.
The really enjoyable part is when you finally have both Divine Storm and Crusader Strike. Once you get these abilities you will truly be a Retribution Paladin and your enemies will melt by your holy powers (or maybe it’s that big mace you just smashed their face in with!).
All in all it’s a bit disappointing that the Paladin class gets forced into leveling with the Retribution tree, but what you get is a specialization that smashes through monsters like nobody’s business. I guess part of this is also made up by being on a Player versus Player server and simply smashing enemy players to pieces.
