There are two different types of money in Farmville: Farm Coins and Farm Cash. Farm Cash is a relatively recent feature of the game. It allows the player to purchase exclusive items. A special item called the Flying Saucer can only be bought with Farm Cash during the Alien Invasion in Farmville. Buildings such as the Pagoda, Groovy barn and Pagoda require that you save up your Farm Cash or buy more on your account.
Additional Farm Coins and Farm Cash can be purchased with actual money using a credit card or Paypal. Farmville accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. I recommend using real money only on Farm Cash; with a relatively short time investment you can effortlessly save up plenty of coins for more things.
Coins
Farm coins are the basic currency that you will deal with most of the time. You need coins when you plow, plant and purchase some objects for your farm. You receive coins when you harvest animals or crops. When you get yarn from a cat, Farm coins will be added to your account balance at once. It is the same for trees; if you harvest a banana tree, you don’t receive bananas, you get rewarded with coins. Keeping an eye on your balance will assist you in choosing what crops to plant. Sometimes you have to choose between growing a whole field of a inexpensive crop or growing only a few squares of a high-priced crop. Farm Cash

A vehicle needs to be gassed up in order to run, if not it will be just an expensive decoration that takes up space. If you want a big farm with quite a few vehicles, you may want to think about using your real cash to buy Farm Cash to help keep everything running effortlessly.
